Terms
- Last updated October 6th, 2026. By using Roam Publish (roam.pub and the Roam Publish extension) you agree to these terms.
- The service
- Roam Publish is a free service run by one person, @ejqs. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Roam Research.
- It's provided as is, without warranties. It may change, have outages, or lose data: there are no backups yet. Keep your own copy of anything important (your Roam graph is the original).
- It may change or end, and it can stop being offered to anyone at any time. Where possible you'll get notice by email first.
- The Roam extension's code is open source under the MIT License, which applies to the code itself.
- Your account
- You need to be over 13, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms.
- Keep your password and API keys to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with them.
- Only connect graphs you're an admin of, and only publish to other people's graphs or collections with their invitation.
- Your content
- You keep all rights to what you publish.
- You let Roam Publish store, display and distribute it, as you set it to be shown (on its page, your graph's front page, collections, Discover, RSS feeds and search), for as long as it's published.
- You're responsible for what you publish, including block references and embeds pulled in from elsewhere in your graph.
- Keep the passwords of protected pages to yourself and the people you mean to read them. An encrypted page can't be recovered by anyone if its passwords are forgotten: republish it from Roam. How encryption works, and its limits, is in Encrypted pages.
- Not allowed
- Anything illegal, or content you don't have the right to publish.
- Harassment, threats, hate, or sharing other people's private information.
- Sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Spam, scams, phishing, malware, or links meant to deceive.
- Impersonating someone, or pretending to be Roam Research.
- Attacking, overloading or probing the service, or getting around its limits, moderation or access controls.
- Moderation
- Pages, graphs, collections and accounts that break these terms can be removed, suspended or banned, with or without notice. You'll usually get an email saying why.
- These terms apply to password-protected and encrypted pages too. Encryption doesn't put a page beyond moderation: it can still be removed based on reports, its title, or anything else known about it.
- Report anything that breaks them with the Report button on any page. To appeal a decision, email [email protected].
- Ending
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. What that deletes is in the Privacy policy.
- Liability
- To the extent the law allows, Roam Publish and its operator aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, content or profits, from using the service.
- To the extent the law allows, their total liability for any claim about the service is limited to US$50.
- None of this limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited.
- Claims about your content
- If someone makes a claim against Roam Publish or its operator because of what you published, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of it.
- Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
- This doesn't take away any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
- Changes
- These terms may change. When they do, the date above changes and signed-in users see a notice on the site for two weeks. If a change matters, signed-up users are also told by email.
- Every past version is in the full change history.
